The 2nd National BCH Workshop will address key Government representatives with responsibilities for implementing the Biosafety Protocol, particularly those that will update and use the BCH as a means of fulfilling the national obligations set forth in the protocol; including but not limited to the BCH’s National Focal Point (NFP), National Authorized Users (NAUs), Competent National Authorities (CNAs), and other information providers/information providing institutions.
WORKSHOP GOALS
- Familiarize participants with the different sections of the BCH and enable them to use its search functionality to support the establishment and implementation of their national biosafety frameworks, including decision-making on LMOs.
- Provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the format of BCH records and the procedures for registering and publishing biosafety-related information.
- Ensure participants are acquainted with the technical responsibilities, procedures, and institutional mechanisms required for effective participation in the BCH, aligned with national biosafety policies and frameworks.
